suspension help

i have a 1988 fj62 its mostly all stock parts. i want to put 2" reverse shackles on, and 35" tires. now i was wondering what is a block and would i have to change my shocks because my shocks were $100 a piece or is there an inexpensive way of lifting my truck. Over all i just want it to be lifted and good mud tires put on.
