Got a rough tack in
Going to have to cut a couple different parts as I have 2 different hiem bung sizes but every looks to line up pretty good
Dialed the track width down in the front to match the rear at 86” with 12.5s still plenty wide

Added some ribs and decided to thicken the bottom plate from 3/16 to 3/8” for added strength and so it can be used as a skid
Looking like I might extend the arm by an inch to allow for more clearance near the cv boot
It’s touching but only just a little

Got an upper arm tacked together
Decided to double check before I cut another one out and weld it together a little positive camber at full droop a little negative at full compression
Should keep the tires flat when turning hard

This build is insanely cool. Love the ingenuity and attack into something unknown. Looking forward to seeing you flog on this once it is done!

And they say IFS lacks articulation :hillbilly:

One could argue that not all IFS designs are the same. If this was the defacto design i would be interested.

After learning more about differentials ie reverse gears and which way a drive shaft spins and all that
I decided to go to a tundra front diff instead of a Supra mk3 rear
Because strength
And
Reverse cut gears

Decided to go with a slightly lighter flywheel not by much stock is around 30 probably
Mostly because price and finding a oem flywheel
This one is 19lbs
Also throwing a more aggressive clutch on there
Will be interesting to see how it drives

Miller 211
Metal is 3/16” in most places or 3/8”

What welder are u using and what thickness is the metal on the arms?
Also I’ll use a PrimeWeld ct520 tig when I have the time
Still learning tig

Swing set steering arms with extra beef please! finished arms will be fully boxed but obviously gotta show off the internal gusseting

Wow, you paying for plasma table work, or do you own one?

Or are you freehanding with a straight-edge & a handheld unit?

Impressive, and your Solidworks skills look tight too

— Respect, seriously.

I own one, it paid for itself pretty quickly.
Much thanks
