    VDJ200 Tundra IFS Swap

Hi All I am considering doing the IFS swap on my Diesel 200. I am concerned with the front spring rate # and front shock valving. The reason for this is that the 3UR 5.7 gas engine weighs around 485 lbs. while the 1VD 4.5 diesel weighs in a whopping 822 lbs. Current Setup Stock IFS Front -...

    Beefing Up the front IFS

So, I haven't been able to find much on anything to beef up the front other than to throw a solid axle on. Is there any content or anything floating around in regards to: - Front Diff Swap from another Toyota bigger than 8" - Spindle gussets - I don't really see anything out there - has anyone...

IFS Hub swap for bigger brakes

I am tearing down and rebuilding my front axle. I am upgrading hubs to IFS hubs. I plan to use frontrange caliper bracket (that is if they ever answer the phone). With that said, which year and model brake calipers are some of you guys using? Thank you

question for the ones with the tundra IFS swap

hey guys about a week ago I was asking if 2020 tundra trd pro fox shocks would swap right into 200 series. After doing more research I possibly might be interested in doing the whole swap (control arms, axles, tie rod ends) question is for whomever has already done this setup, what is your...

Take 3, the Forever 45- IFS and 1uz-vvti

Hi all, So I had posted this originally in the 40/45 section, but I think it really belongs here, although I'm sure gonna catch grief for the IFS! Guess its more of a soft core build?! :cautious: Before you chime in with "better to use an 80 chassis and keep the solid axles", here's the deal: I...

    Builds  SupraCruza

Goal started out as building a supra kart mk3 but it was a turd on wheels, but it had a motor and trans that were in decent condition. After selling the Supra and it’s trans it was decided that the 2j should go in a land cruiser 80 after much thought about putting it in a 4runner first gen. The...

    LC100 2006 axle elocker retrofit?

I have been tried to look for a post on this behalf, but not success yet on my especific questions. Can I fit an elocker axle from 98-99 100 to a 06-07 100 with little or easy work? Or it'll be a PITA. It will be worthier to fix another lockers instead? I just put 285/75R18 and if I got the...

Will Depreciating 200-Series' Hurt 100-Series' Value?

I was pondering this the other day - One thing that made the purchase of my 100-Series an easy one (bought it purely as a toy/second vehicle) was the feeling that it would likely never be worth less than the price I paid for it. I'd been looking at 80-Series' prior to buying the 100, but when I...

    Wanted  1993 4runner - Need control arms!

Well, it didn't take me long to bend some IFS parts on my '93 4Runner. That massive tree root came out of no where I swear! At first I figured I tweaked my steering really good, but upon further inspection the top of my passenger side tire is now about 1/2" closer to the body then the driver...

R&P swap from ADD to non ADD

Does anyone know if the ring and pinion from a non ADD diff is the same for and ADD diff? It seems the only difference is the needle bearings in the ADD. Which I believe is actually part of the carrier and the housings are identical. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

ADD vs Non-ADD, needle bearings needed?

Is it possible to remove the oil seal on a Non-ADD Differential and bolt up an ADD axle tube? By removing the seal, the tube and ADD system gets oiled. The only difference I see is that with the ADD system you get needle bearings, and the Non-ADD diff only has the machined in "bushing" with oil...

    Pickup IFS Crossmember bent?

Hi everybody, brand new here, but figured I'd start things out with a little bit of quandry I'm in. I picked up a 90' Pickup for next to nothing, and am planning on doing an SAS on it, but noticed that one of the IFS crossmembers looks pretty funky. Can't tell if this is an insane bend, or...
