My radio in starting to act up and I would like to find information for replacing it with an after market unit. Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated.

Thanks

I tried to find it by using search but couldn't find the links to threads about radios.

I have a 98 LC.

I guess it depends on how much you wanna spend. I had a single-din unit in my dash for about 10 months, but I really didn't like the look of the cheap platic pocket you had to put in to fill in the extra space. I have since gone with a Kenwood DDX-8017. It is a double-din DVD/MP3 unit. It looks so much better filling in the whole opening. It costs a good bit more though. It plays mp3 dvds that hold ~950-1000 songs per. I connected my Ipod through a special interface and now, I have 40GB of songs at my fingertips. Don't even use cds anymore.

I would definitely recommend something that can hook up to your ipod. The convenience and portability would trump any other feature, I would think.

I just bought the Kenwood EZ700SR, which also has a built in Siruis receiver. I should have it soon!

It's a single-din, but I don't care if it looks bad, as long as the Siruis works well;)

I would suggest going to Ebay and search "Double Din MP3" to get an idea.
It all depends on what you wan't to spend, DVD is awesome for MP3's - but you'll have to spend at least about $500 for one.
-- and you could hook a Ipod to any deck - just differs on how

Thanks for the info.. All I wish for is a good looking install and be able to play MP3's. I am not interested in satellite radio. Price is not the main issue. Having one look like it fits and is easy to install or easy to have someone install.
