Had a wind event when camping along with a trapped solar lead and stripped my panels. Cut away the backside and looks like I can re-solder.
Should I solder or use butt splice connectors?
company wont help with wiring diagram (so am returning the extra panel I bought a few weeks ago!)
Never done this type of solar repair (lot of experience soldering though).
Any tips?
Thanks in advance

Soldering is better than crimping IMO. I'd want to check that the connections/wires are OK further in, it looks like they pulled out a good bit. But you could also just put it outside and see if you get the normal output, and if it does, well, it works, and that's good enough.
No diode, looks like, or are they buried? If none, you could add some while you're at it.

Uhh...bare braid as a conductor is (conservatively) ignorant-amateur at best.
Recommend dumping that manufacturer and going with another that at least understands insulated conduit (anyone else actually).

Unless I misunderstand the provided pics.
