Me and the wifey took the dogs out for a run by the moon dunes just now, decided to stretch the 40's legs a little bit. I'm still getting used to driving it....after riding/driving buggies for awhile, it's mighty sketchy!!

I popped an LED tail light the other day wheeling it, hopefully the hardware store has them in today or tomorrow...they were out on Tuesday. I'm glad Mark put trailer style LED's in it, they are only about 20 bucks....alot better than stockers!!! And a few more pics, and a few of the pups...

Nice 40 dude.:) Did you buy that from a guy named Dave in Lodi? If not it sure looks like his rig. Cute dogs. Do they chucker hunt? Look forward to wheelin with you and the beast!:steer::grinpimp:.

Thanks on both accounts, the 40 and the dogs! I got the 40 from my friend Mark, SARMARK here on the board. He did an unreal job putting this bad boy together! And yes, I chukar hunt, not as much as I would like. My male's name is Hoss, and that dude is a hunting fool. The little one is his son Eazy. He is 18 weeks now. I wasn't gonna keep my pick of the litter, they have smokin' lines and I could have gotten a good piece of coin for him....but he was a good pup, so I kept him for a hunting pair.

Great pictures of both the rig and the dogs.

I don't know if I ever saw Mark give us the specs on the 40, so what does it have? And what happened to the buggy? I can't believe you went for one so clean. Tell us the rest of the story.:)

What is Mark buying/building now?

I'm still building my buggy, I'm actually heading to Reno today on buggy business. I went for this 40 because I have always been in love with it!! Mark and I started talking about it here awhile back, and before we knew it, we had come to a deal. Mark has an 81 FJ40 and a 02 Tacoma with a lift and such on it. He is wanting to make the both of them a little more capable...they both are a little more creature comfortable than the 73 I just bought.

And the specs are:

Brand new GM Goodwrench 4 bolt 350, Holley Truck Avenger carb, Howe Racing radiator, fresh SM420, fresh 3spd cruiser case, SOA, 35" Mastercraft M/T's, locked f/r, Bobby Long's in the front, fresh rebuilt knuckles, 4XLABS high steer kit, front springs flipped, Iron Pig Offroad skidplate and rear diff cover, LED side markers and tail lights, Dick Cepek winshield lights, CCOT telescopic mirrors, FRESH paint, no rust/bondo, comfy van seats...with armrests!, front cage tied in to stock style bar, and a ton of other little things here and there.

And there are a ton of little things here and there. The Man-a-Fre fender flares are pretty much indestructible(within limits LOL), everything in this rig is either brand new, or freshly rebuilt. We just put the new GM Goodwrench motor in last November, and it only has a few thousand on it's ticker...just broke in pretty much! I kinda had to force myself to wheel it. It's so extremely capable, but so extremely nice...it's hard to find the line between! It's got GOBS of power, I once saw the left front tire get pulled off the ground....I bet Mark remembers that too...IN HIS DRIVEWAY!! HAHA!!

You already know I love your 40, the dogs are beautiful. Is the smaller one the puppy from the last litter?

My condolences, to you and your family.

Thanks Don.

Yes, the little fella was my pick of the litter from this last one. He is around 18 weeks I think(been kinda rough, mind is all messed up right now). He is a good pup, house trained, kennel trained, sits, lays down, stays, fetches...only dog I have ever like more is his pops...and that dude is awesome!

Thanks again
