My 78 lp-kk has been runnung great since last fall. I've been runnung back and forth to my job 420klms (200+ miles) every two weeks with only one quirk. After the trip is done and I need to use my clutch to start off it's very difficult to get into gear. This is only when I come off the highway and start to run around town. I keep my highway speeds under 120klms/hr. There is no smell, no slipping or any obvious cause. Once it cools off over night the problem is gone. The tranny shifts great otherwise. Slave cyl bypassing? Your thoughts.

I'd love to help, but all the klms have me totally confused :)

are you leaking any fluid? you may have some air in your clutch line, in which case bleeding would solve the problem.

is the hydraulic line really close to the exhaust? that could cause the fluid to boil, just like when the fuel line gets too warm and the fuel boils causing a rig to not want to start after it's been run......

I'm going to check all my dimensions today and look for things lik that. Good thought, thanxs.

Checked all my dimensions and found they were all out of whack. Found that the clutch fork had 3/4 of an inch of free play. Once all adjusted the clutch only grabbed in the last inch at the top of pedal travel. There's a good clunck when the next gear is taken up and the T/O bearing is noisy. I'm going to pull the clutch today.
