On my 02 3.4, my indicator arrows will light up when I press the brake. All my lights work fine, blinkers, parking, brake, ect. Also, when braking and using the turn signal, it will blink real fast as if there is a light out. Started right after I installed my Lightforce lights, but I have disconnected them from everything and the problem still persists (then again, the truck was not driven for 2 months prior). Sounds like a short to me, just wondering where to start looking. Thanks for any help.

Little more info. Blinker indicators only light up when the brake pedal is pressed and truck is in reverse. Also, this morning, both indicators lit up, now only left lights up. When indicating with brake applied, brake lights are blinking, instead of blinkers. But blinkers work fine with no brake.

Well sometimes I try to look at a problem in another way... how could I make it do what it is doing if I wanted to?

These Lightforce lights you installed..are they an extra set of driving lights? or a higher wattage head light?

My thought is did somebody do some trailer wiring in the back end and mix up turn signals, brake lights and backup lights to where one circuit is back feeding another?

I'm thinking your blinker ground is loose/no good/etc....and is back feeding through those other circuits on it's way to the earth.

Edit: the brake light ground, not the blinker ground....
It's on the inside of the rear drivers side quarter panel.
Has it ever been in an accident?
Is it possible the lights were hooked up wrong at first?

Thanks for the help. My ground wire was pretty corroded. Fixed it up and back at it.

Sure did. Thanks for the help.

Nickkw glad you resolved it
Raydouble you clever man.... that sort of has me scratching my coconut how it would light up the other circuits..hmmm circuit board maybe rather than just relays, wires and bulbs... hmmm
