My wife's 2000 4Runner has developed an odd electrical problem. The stereo, clock, and all the lighter plugs randomly go out. Just as if it blew the fuse. But when they come back on (all on their own, and totally random) the radio is on the same station, and the clock is correct. Thinking about this now she does have an iPod FM modulator and her cell phone charger plugged in all the time, and I don't recall where I pulled power for the Infinity Basslink from in the cargo area. I might have pulled it from the rear lighter jack in the cargo area. But she's had all this stuff plugged in like this all the time for the last 3-4 years without issues. The only thing I can think of is a relay being bad that's supposed to turn all this stuff on. It's the only thing I can think of that would cut power and not kill the clock and radio presets.

no idea but you have me curious.....does not sound like a ground issue or it would have shorted out...
