Took a short roadtrip today, Wilma (Jason's LV) still has the record for the most attention drawn by a rig on my trailer, but:

A+ to the guy in Amherst who pointed and said....."that's a Toyota Stout".

B- to the girl at the farmstand in Deerfield who said "how old is that Toyota..............I've never seen one quite like it". :) Bet she's sorry she asked.

D- to the green 40 hardtop in Deerfield that didn't wave back to a Chevy pulling a Stout. I never see a 40 on the road anymore and always wave no matter what I'm in .......... :frown:

B+ to the grandkid who says it's cool but a certain someone else said it was a hunk of junk.............

So Foxfab, any lenses leftover?

The Stout was resting in Amherst.

The 40 was a medium green, maybe 33's, sounded like a V8, mid 70's.

What's the plan for this fine machine?

Cool truck, cool name (stout). Looking forward to seeing your results...

If you ever need a hand with something, dont hesitate to ask me...I am local to you. Cant say as I would have any expert mechanical input, but I can lift stuff.

Good luck with it.

The only plan at this point is to "get that thing out of the front yard" :D

I'm going to need a hand soon to lift the 25 body on/off a few times to get the body mounts lined up.;)

Are we thinking full resto or full pimping??

The bed is real solid and the top half of the cab is pretty good. I'm thinking to whack the cab off at the floor put in a flat floor with sliders built in, take about 4" out of the doors, and attach it to a later mini frame. So if anyone sees a cheap '85 or older swb mini with a good frame and no body let me know.

There's no room under the hood for anything but a 4 anyhow.

Sweet Stout! I have always wanted one of those but it is at the bottom of my list unfortunately.

I have heard that there is a Stout running around the country on a 55 frame. I can't remember where I came across it but it is very clean and not too much work to get it on the frame. Might be worth looking into. Good luck with it.

Did you see this yet?

I did see that, that's basically what I want, I even like the spring green, I just didn't want to do it to a good Stout.

D'Animal, the rust is really bad (even for up here). Surprisingly the bed isn't, I have no idea why it survived because it was full of vegetation until it got pulled out of the ground.

Well, didn't want to do this, but the holiday "another year gone and I can't finish the projects I have" depression set in. Up for sale.

C'mon Nick, this is you....................you know I'm easy.........:)

Seriously, another consideration is fitting in it................I think I'd be cramped, you might be a little more than cramped. ;)
