Looking to do some light wheeling this weekend, we both have stock 80's and were looking for some fire roads or rock quarries or someplace to explore around a little. Do you guys know of anything around Indy or nearby for that, besides the bad lands?

whats wrong with some good LEGAL wheeling at the badlands....

Nothing but everyone is going in a few weeks and being stock and little messed up as is, I didn't want to push her before I get her fixed. I also know of and where the badlands are, I was looking for something else.

You need to learn how to use google. On google, I actually happen to have found a place perfect for you partner, I mean friend. It is very popular with the domestic crowd, so you might not fit in so well. Its call circle center mall in Indianapolis. Good obsticles like parking curbs for you to crawl over and you wont have to push you truck to hard.:flipoff2:

If you are going to fix it anyways why not just push it? Worst case senario is you have to fix what you were going too. There is Redbird down towards southern IN as well. I havent googled your hometown so I dont know how far redbird would be for you.

Redbird is possible if you stick to the easier trails. Venturing off of those can get you in some pretty good mud pits if you aren't careful. Badlands is probably better overall since it has a little bit of everything. If you don't want to wheel at the next event, there are always open seats if you still want to come.

Hey 7schulz, not really much up here on the near northside that I know of unless you know of someone with some private owned land to drive around on. I know the others have already said so, but even if you are looking for something fairly tame to drive around on and don't mind a little drive, go out to the badlands. It really is about the closest place I know of to wheel. And there are plenty of places that you can drive a stock LC. I used to wheel my totally stock 98 ford ranger with open diffs and 31 AT's there quite often. I couldn't do big mud or big rocks with it, but I had tons of fun just tooling around out there. There are plenty of tame trails through the woods to explore plus they have some sand dunes and other random stuff. If you've never been there, give it a shot......I'm sure you'll love it. Other than that though, not really much else up here. I wish there was more.....we need more ORV parks!

I probably won't have it done in time for the trip at the end of the month, but as soon as I get my front axle rebuilt, I want to make a trip out there. I might be up for riding along with someone else though....I'm itching to get back out there!

Says the man without a truck to wheel.

Atleast I'll have a legitimate reason for not being able to go on the pysII tour.

According to todd my excuse will be because Im driving a chick car which I also dont have. I guess I will have to find a nissan to steal for a week in june between the June 5th through the 13th. Wouldnt want to make a liar out of todd.

Freudian slip?

If mud wanted us to have correct spelling, then woody would include spell check for the forums

dont worry Luke, I'll correct it for you:rolleyes:

Or you could turn it on for your computer (if you knew how).:flipoff2:

for got to include your wife's FJ in this too. Same set up, but only has 2 doors instead of 4

I got no problem with that - except that she has wheeled it.

The difference is that i don't drive it. I hate that truck.

Thank God someone took the pressure off of me :D

22 days until I bring my truck over and begin working on it.

Badlands will be fine, just tool around a bit. Redbird, if it's wet, will be a real muddy treat unless you have lockers and a winch. Either way, you'll have fun.
