Still looking for a truck - any leads?

Guys,

I'm still looking for a truck. I've been looking online and through various mechanics for a while now - seen a couple, looked at a bunch more, sent two to ppis (which were rejected).

Anyone know of a good truck? I've checked out a bunch of clean white ones, but I live in NYC, and I just don't want to deal with a white truck in our weather.

I'm looking for an 85-87, silver, grey, champagne, dark champagne, I guess basically any metallic. I'd be down with the metallic brown too.

I've been hoping for a grandma's car - totally stock, unmolested, 3rd vehicle type deal.

Anyone know of anything - please let me know. Happy to get you a bottle of scotch, case of beer, etc. in return.

or craigslist.org, and look for something in your area. The ads are free to place, so there are a lot of inexpensive vehicles.

There is a grey one in VA on Autotrader for really cheap but it doesn't say much about it. About $1800

Yup, I do basically a daily craigs list search. Can't help feeling that I'm always behind the ball, doing it at such a long distance though. Cruisers in my area are mostly swiss cheese from the salt and weather.

Called about the one on autotrader, haven't heard back.

Any other suggestions you guys can think of?

You may have to travel to find what you want. I was picky when I went looking for a 20 year old cruiser and searched for more than a year for mine using local paper, auto trader, craigs list......I ended up with a two owner rig with many of the maintenance and repair receipts. This site below paid off for me. Good luck
