Originally thought it was the water heater but then found the stove acting up also..

Drops pressure to a point were the water heater won't stay lit (burner will fire as normal then slowly dies). Crazy thing, it will work fine for a month or so, then act up again. Banging on it and blowing it out seems to help. Any other ideas before I purchase a new one?

It sounds like the diaphram may be sticking could be defective. you can try taking it apart, but make sure you can get a new one quickly if you cant get it back together properly.

Yep, I am hesitant to take it apart without someone's blessing. If you look at the exploded views of these things, not a whole lot of working parts to deal with.

Thanks for the reply, good idea...

I don't have a WC gauge, so I don't want to mess with the factory presets..Got a call into the local LPG service guy also, but haven't heard back.
