Guys,

I'm not an audiophile and the stock JBL system in my 04 LC was just fine for me. But unfortunately I have not only blown the sub but now a passenger side speaker. So it now sounds HORRIBLE. I was thinking about replacing all the speakers and sub with something more modern, and I know I'll need to add a small amp to power them. I of course have nav and I prefer a stock look so I would like everything else to stay the same. Is there anyone locally that would be willing to help me rip the truck apart and do this? We can work out payment in cash, beer, truck parts, whatever. Appreciate any suggestions/assistance guys. I went to a local shop and the price quickly shot north of $2,000.

What is local for you. Here in lancaster we have weebee audio and video

Lehigh Valley. Lancaster is about 90 minutes away.

I replaced all my speakers, installed a new head unit, did away with the stock amp and installed a powered sub. Your head unit should still be good, as not much has changed in the last 10 years concerning quality of sound. Check out Crutchfield's website, they have a ton of stuff to mix and match to your existing head unit and a really good team of advisors on hand.. I was stumped on a couple of things when I installed all new components, called them up and they walked me through it.. I'm west of reading about 15 miles, and can help oout most anytime after the 3rd of October... good luck !! BTW,,, car audio shops are generally complete rip offs.. none of the installation process is anywhere close to rocket science.

Yeah the head unit is fine, I'm just not confident enough to rip apart the interior myself and I don't know the first thing about wiring. Anything mechanical, brakes, spark plugs, fluid changes, etc I'm fine with....just interiors I always end up breaking something. I'd rather have someone who knows what their doing help me out. If you're up for a project in October, I'm in. I appreciate it.
