Tower of murder baby.
so, after ordering the part 4 times from various parts stores and having it not show up, and finally when it did it was generic little multi fit thing with brackets to mount to axle and tie rod,
I called toyota, and the parts drone, told me, it was obsolete/discontinued.

87bj70, I'd thought the part was the same as 60's so I'm a bit surprized it's obsolete , or, was I just speaking to a parts drone who'd had a larger than usual hit of crack with his lunch?

anyone had to get a dampener recently?

EDIT- ok so looks like 4wheel auto lists one for the 60 series, but not the 70, so the question is, are they the same?

cheers,

My Raw4x4 catlogue lists the 70-75 and 60-62 as being the same dampener.
It changed when the 78/79 series come along.
If Toyota wont play ball use an aftermarket dampener. There is lots of good ones available.

yeah, no worries there, toyota is always the begrudged last resort, looks like ome has one for 75 bucks from cruiseroutfitters, ( thanks to the crackermunchingresearching efforts of the Crusted One.), so I may just go with that.

I kinda feel like I should buy at least ONE thing for this 70 after a year of dd'ing.
cheers,

Hey, i was gonna suggest going with an Emu shock. Had one on my old one. If waiting and shipping is an issue, try "Sport Trucks Unlimited" in Langley or whatever, as they sometimes keep some Emu Cruiser stuff on hand.
Good luck... "as i sit here and do the "robot", talking like a drone..."
