I tweeked my drivers side steering arm at Rubithon among other things and it needs replacing. I believe that mine was off of a mini and stock. It's a 4 stud knuckle and are there better arms to use. Stronger, harder, thicker? I am talking about steering arms. Any ideas? Has anyong welded a gusset to increase strength?

Thanks

I don't know, go ask Anyong. I think he's all about stronger, harder, thicker.
:flipoff2:

Stock FJ62 arms seem to be the strongest out there.

Talked with Landcruiser Parts and they confirmed the compatability and it's on the way...$25. too. Sweet

thanks for the tip Mace and here's a  for you...

They didn't seem to think that it was a problem with compatability. I guess I will see. And I will confirm tomorrow that it is what I need. The PO has all kinds of interesting parts on my rig.. And I will make sure it's for a straight axle not IFS. Thanks for the heads up...

IFS does not have knuckles... there is some sort of mis-communication here.

You can probably tell if it is a mini arm if it has been cut, unless someone did a really, really clean job. Look on the back side of the arm and see if someone cut off the other half of a stock mini "boomerang" shaped arm.
