I think my starter is about to go. I'm having a hard time starting up the truck. I checked the batteries, wires, etc. but they all seem fine. Any recommendations? If I do need a starter, should I go aftermarket or oem? Thanks.

I replaced mine about a year ago. Easy install, and used aftermarket. Aftermarket and rebuilt starters don't experience some of the problems you have with alternators ( going out after 3 to 6 months).HTH Craig

You can also use almost any yeart 2F/3F starter, a used one from http://cruiserparts.net is a good source. What are the symptoms?

Rebuild it. Much less expensive, and easy. Replace the contacts and brushes, you're good to go.
