"Wheelin' With Warriors"
Stampede Pass 11/02/13
This is a unpaved road across the cascades from Hwy 410 to I90.
There will be most likely some snow, but from what I understand
most stock 4X4's can make it. We will be meeting at the Shari's, in Bonney Lake, WA. I chose this pass, because it's a trail
not many go on, and as long as you got good tread on your tires
you should be fine to cross it. and the views are awesome.
Plus this will allow more Wounded Warriors to attend, because it's
a unpaved road, and not a 4X4 trail, thus not causing them any
harm from bouncing around. So grab your Keys, jackets, and your
cameras, and let make some memories.
And again if you a Veteran, or are Active Military and their family
members or friends, you do not need a 4X4 to go on this run.
I will do my best to get you a ride, and I usually end up with
more drivers than riders. So come on out and have some fun.

FAQ's
Q. Who are invited?
A. Any and all Military Personnel, Present, and Past, and their
families. Any and all off-road enthusiast I do ask that you might
be able to give some a ride, but if every seat in your rig is taken
with people and family that want to spend the day with some Warrior's, Come On Out.
Any and all who would like to come out and say thank you to our
local hero's.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. Nothing.
Q. Will there be food?
A. Yes.

Also, I will take any and all help about this area I have spent the past couple of weekends exploring the area and would like to know more trail and views. As well as help working out a back up plan if Mother Nature decides to dump a ton of snow on the pass. I'm looking to head out there again on the 5, of Oct. any takers please let me know.

You can also follow the info on, https://www.facebook.com/wheelinwithwarriors

My rig is on life support right now otherwise I'd join you.

Be advised, a big storm is rolling into the area on Saturday and is forecast to dump significant amounts of snow in the high country (2500' and above). Make sure all attendees are prepared to spend the night out there (food, water, warm clothing, blankets, etc) if conditions get too rugged. Be a shame to have a great trip turn into a recovery effort.

Have fun and be safe! Much love to our vets, and I'll catch you guys next time for sure.

Joe,
How did the rig fair on the run? Also, how was the weather, any pictures?

Truck did fine. It was a dirt road the whole way, 0 technical stuff. My Trailblazer SS probably could have made it.

But it was cool. Up top at higher elevations the wind / snow got pretty gnarly, top 1/2" of mud / dirt was frozen. Wind probably gusting up to 50mph. That was pretty short lived.

Wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too many people. 60 vehicles. Pace was way too slow.

Here's the route:
