I don’t want to clutter someone else’s thread any more and I didn’t see an answer searching through some old TPMS threads, so...

If I have TPMS in both a summer set of four tires and a winter set of four tires, am I going to have to do the Techstream reset every spring and fall? Or can the system recognize all eight, which is what I hope.

System only recognizes 5 max, so you will have to "do the Techstream reset" every time you change sets.

Guess I better get familiar with it then. Thanks for the heads up.

Are you sure about this? My experience has been that the position on the list on the dash display is dependant on the memory # that the sensor number is occupying in the computer. So a sensor registered as #1 in the computer will always be #1 no matter where it is mounted on the truck.

Seems to me you could change the order that the tires are showing on the list simply by going into Techstream and moving the sensor serial numbers around on the list.

the sensors continue to check into the same spot, but if you set up LF=1, RF=2, LR=3, RR=4, spare=5 and then rotates tires 1-5 then LF=5, RF=1, LR=2, RR=3, and spare=4.

The five-tire rotation suggested in the manual (for USA) suggests rotating the tires on the same side of the vehicle. I assume this is due to directional tires? The Mexico rotation is more what I'm used to which crosses the tires to the opposite side. If we're running AT tires, shouldn't we follow the Mexico suggestion. (Waiting for @gaijin to chim in and say that Mr. T always knows best....)

I always do *B. Keeping the same tires on the same side of the vehicle doesn't make sense.

It does if the tires are directional. The Michelin Pilots on our IS250C are labeled as directional, and since the fronts are not the same size as the rears, there is no way to rotate the tires. I assume because of the tread pattern of the Nokian Hakka R3s that they are a directional tire, but I don't know for sure until I get my set.

Anyone else noticed that when you take the cruise out of radar mode it won’t allow 76mph? 74, 75, 77, 78..

I haven’t yet checked to see if there are other holes in the settings.

Edit: stopped for fuel, didn’t shut truck off, got back on the interstate and it allowed 76. Weird.

I do a modified version of the Mexico 5-tire rotation which is recommended by TireRack:

The Toyota recommended 5-tire version in the Manual (A) makes absolutely no sense - with the obvious exception of directional tires, which most A/T tires are not.

I didn't really surprise you with this answer, did I?

Correct, Nokian’s and any other tire like that is directional in order to push the water out from under the tires. Running then backwards would draw the moisture to the center of the tire.

Mmm... burritos, or any other name for them

Is there such a thing as cheap, quality, diffused LED lights to mount on a roof rack for camp lighting?

Recently picked up three Hard Korr led light strips for this purpose. They have magnetic attachments so you can put them where you want. So far so good, am pleased with the light they throw.

Bumping my question again:

How do I access the rear sub of my '08 LX? I was hoping to use the silicone molding seal mod to fix the woofer.

BTW, I got a link from linuxgod for the SM but trouble downloading it on a Mac.

Pulling on the grill does not seem to work and I ended up warping it on side from the edge from trying to pry it open.

Anyone care to attach a blow up diagram from the SM?

Thanks!
