Hey Y’all,
Basically looking for anecdotal evidence from folks.
I’ve got the icon 2.5 vs ir coilovers (part 58645) up front. these come with a 650 pound spring (icon offers a 700 pound spring as an upgrade). Some brief googling suggests the stock front spring rate for the GX is 605 pounds.
if I add a winch, front bumper (looking at metaltech goblin, net gain of ~50 pounds), and skid plates, that’s... an extra ~150-200 pounds over the front.
That seems like it will make the front droop pretty bad with the icons (50 pound increase in spring rate, but 200 pound increase in weight).
Am I thinking about this right? Anyone running a similar setup that can share their experience?
Coilovers are only 8 months old. So I’d prefer not to replace the springs with the 700 pound heavy duty ones, but I realllllly want to install that goblin bumper and winch this fall.
