The Canadian Tire in Esquiamalt has the small Coleman Sportcat heater for $40 (ask for it - bit hard to find). Its $80 at other stores. Its small but at 1,500 btu/hr it lasts 14 hours on a 1 lb bottle. Space is always at a premium. This would keep a truck or tent warm through the night with proper ventilation. I also have the Mr Buddy Heater but its twice as big and lasts only 6 hours on the low setting. The Sport Cat burner faces up - away from stuff - so its good for hand warming or positioning under a chair..
Thought someone might be interested. I will be trying it out at Churn Creek over the long weekend, which will come in handy when we head into hills to do Windy Ridge.
