I bought a 2006 Sequoia Limited with 125k miles in 2015. After 60k miles and 9 years, I've got the itch to replace it but nothing has a better value proposition than my current ride. This truck has been a rock solid vehicle in terms of reliability.

The three things I have against it:
1. It is 2 wheel drive (I live in Texas so it isn't really needed now but considering a move to NC)
2. It doesn't feel like a truck
3. It doesn't look as good as a second gen.

I've considered 2nd gen Sequoias but their interiors are less substantial, smaller, and have a propensity to melt. A white, 4wd platinum with red rock and black rims is a beauty though. The $30k price tag makes me cringe a little since I only drive 5 - 7k miles a year.

I looked at the LX570 and I can't stomach the idea of losing 30% of my cargo area, but the cockpit is a wonderful place to be.

Any advice on how to fall back in love with my '06? Or an alternative that I've missed?

Current projects in process:
TEQ Headlights
Simply Speaker surrounds in rear doors
Replacing the TPMS receiver

Change is good sometimes. If I didn't need the space for the kids I'd be all over an LX570/LC200. I do love the 2nd gen Sequoia though it's a great rig
