sperratic idel

on my new to me 80, the idel is sparratic, will jump between 500, 1000, and 700. does not faulter anytime i have the gas pedel depressed. what do i look at to try and fix this?

Sounds like you need to claen the throttle body, Do a search, There is plenty of great info.

you might want to also check your plugs and wires... i had a funkey little tach jump just an occasional drop... changed plugs and wires ... all gone..

While we talk about the idle, also I have misfiring I-6 do you guys know how to resolve it? or need to re-adjust the valve?
