A some of you know, I've been working in Yakima M-F. I've been driving my LC and averaging between 350-360 miles per tank, round trip. I limped in today at 370 miles on one tank. Not too shabby for a '95 with 263K on her. Especially considering she's in desperate need of a tune up.

Awesome feedback! I did a minor tune and reset the timing ( included plugs, cap & rotor @ 190k ). My timing was around °7+ (not knowing I was pinging; I thought I had a loose bolt rattling around), so I reset it to factory around °3 advance. I lost some low end torque from that advance but gained a smooth transition to upper rpm ( a nice linear power band ).

I went from 11.6-12.3 mpg's to 13.8 mpg average driving a mix of street and freeway driving these last 2k miles. I fill up the tank around the 280-300mile range, I'm not daring to take it down like you Will to that 370 range. Granted I'm on stock tires, but are you on 35's?

My '95 is completely bone stock.

I have some reimbursement money coming my way. Going to use it to replace plugs and wires, the distributor cap, and clean the entire throttle body out. She's also due for another oil change. This should be a good start.

I forgot you picked up another 80, doh!

Doing those PMs will definitely help. I want to revisit my entire intake manifold one day. My TB had some cake on the backside of the butterfly. Get the coolant hoses for the TB so its addressed and you don't have to revisit it. Mine were okay but its on my radar.
