I am looking for the following types of wood for the smoker: Hickory, Oak, Mesquite, Apple, Cherry, Pear, Pecan, Maple.

Any where know where I can pick some up locally? Mesquite is all around the state, but just not sure where I can just go get it, i would imagine I may need a permit?

Have plenty of apple wood up here in v-town. I drive into ABQ 'bout once a week. Aged for two years.

You can get Apple wood at the Dixon Apple Farm west of Cochiti. They sell it by the box or wheelbarrow-full. I think it's $10.
