I checked the part num thread and searched the forums for this but can seem to find a source or even part number for a Aussie (Right Hand Drive) Brake master cylinder? I.e. the one with the ports on the left side of the cylinder. I would prefer not to have to reshape the lines to the other side for a LHD part.

Thanks in advance

Thanks John,
The ports on the side on on the rightside on a RHD, where the ports are on the left for LHD (facing the center of the engine compartment.)

Give ebay australia a go plenty of brake master cylinders for cruisers on there. or try roodogs ebay store he sends a lot of stuff to states.:)

A little info on year and model helps.
Avatar pics do not always represent the OPs vehicle nor should everyone be expected to wade through your old posts to find out which vehicle you own

call Ray or Mike at SOR, I have then same issue, but they have what u need, and the U.S models come off the left side as well. I just ordered one a week ago. $130

You can get Toyota replacement master cylinders at any parts store. They are very common and can be had either new or rebuilt for a decent price.

No need to think that it's some kind of a unique part...

John, I owe you an apology. You are absolutley correct the part is the same. After owning a RHD in the US for so long I just assume the worst! I bought the part from Autozone for $79 with a resovoir and it bolted on no problem. Now I will test my luck with wheel cylinders, shoes and drums. I think the US FJ40's must have all had front disc?

Thanks to all
