Anybody in camp a drum brake expert? Rebuilt mine last week and they are over adjusting themselves. Sitting here with one side torn apart and scratching my head.

I understand the hand brake is supposed to adjust the slop out of the brakes via the ratcheting star wheel. It’s only supposed to adjust them so far, but it’s adjusting mine beyond that. I can manually back them off via the star wheel and have good brakes as long as I don’t touch the hand brake - but I’ll need the hand brake on trails. As of now I can’t use it or else the brakes start dragging.

If anybody knows this stuff well and has nothing better to do … feel free to come take a look.

You and @Kleatus oughtta confer, as you're suffering a similar issue. He had his apart again recently - hopefully he found the silver bullet.

Would appreciate this if you can get it from HF in montrose

Hope this does not get you running ragged!

Will reimburse you at camp

Did you get it figured out yet?

What time do people head out for trails in the morning and where’s the meeting spot?
Also I’m sure it’s been mentioned but what site is for registration
Camp site # T 24-25 for registration, They usually start making coffee about 7am
And talk about trails, and have a list of trails for the day and departure times posted 😉

Apparently, this adventure is not supposed to take place for me. I was headed to SAS broke down near alamosa. If anybody could let the guys from classic cruisers know I am looking for some parts.

Pulling into campsite tonight around 8. Going to check Wednesday morning campsite 24-25 @7am?

Is that the best way to see trail runs that day and etc?

Also going to Moab on Saturday for Arches and go check in with 4WDAction guys!

I’ve also brought majority of FJZ80 head gasket - gasket set if anyone needs any gaskets

Tomorrow evening 6pm, group photo will be on the sluce hill in the back of KOA.
Raffle tickets will be sold right up to raffle immediately following the photo.
Please don't park on the corner across from sites 22-23 near the water faucet. We are blocking the parking from the camp host.
Also, please keep your dogs on a leash as per KOA rules. Thanks, Casey...

Uh oh. What are you needing?

A few pics from todays corkscrew/hurricane pass/reverse Poughkeepsie… had a beautiful day. Had one 80 “casualty” on the trail (sorry Tyler)… with the KOA likely sporting more spare parts than an OReilly’s, I would bet there are good odds that someone will have a spare radiator…

I will leave the professional pics to Chris as I wasn’t willing to play a “troll” in a snowbank to get that perfect angle…

Thxs again Rory and our group for a great day!
