Had a person come by the house today offering solar electrical panels, place a certain square footage of panels on a roof(s) and you would almost zero your electrical bill, when you are not using the power its returned to the grid and credited to your bill.
Saying average summer bills are 50$ or less............................anyone have any experence with these systems?

I did a 9.6 kw system on a house w a pool and hot tub and all electric kitchen. He has zero dollar bills may-sept.

I'll get the name of the supplier we whos systems we have installed. They use a sunnyboy inverter(s) and the sharp panel(220watt). Our clients have ordered their systems directly from the supplier and then contract us to do the work. This company also does alot of the paperwork for the rebate and tax incentives......

in the end, it'll come down to the money you invested verses the money your saving. investing takes money "up front" & is for the long term- never forget these elements. at todays intrest rates this MIGHT BE a fair to good investment. i might add that if you're financing this investment, it falls to less than a poor investment you probably could get a better perspective from you're local utility co. than someone selling installation packages- sorry lamb it's only buisness, nothing personal

This page gives you a quick & dirty cost estimate & ROI/Payback period:

Solar Power Calculator | Find Solar

My payback period is over 16 years - including the incentives & tax breaks. Either electric rates are going to have to go up significantly or solar costs have to come down alot before it makes sense for me.

Central Wind Energy Home My brother has a wind and solar business in Washington St.. There is some useful information on his site if you choose to look at it. The link is above. Meat

Yeah. its not cheap. I ain't sellin nothing but check out solarhome.com NOT .org- although check out solarhome.org, too. might be a bunch of gronola hippies hugging trees, but they'll help a guy figure things out not from a business point of view. more of a tools to help a diy guy get himself into trouble:flipoff2:I am happy to share any info I have on this. Keep in mind there are alot of hacks and ex cons installing these systems these days. Not so long ago, it was sandal wearing bongo playing mate tea drinking heads doing it. the installation of these systems is not rocket science.
