Very nice resto! Its a pity that I just found it.. I have actually bought mine my second one (currently in pieces) without missus knowing.. thats the only reason I only YES didn't YES/envy. One day I had to tell her.. that is a day..noone would envy.. Keep up the good work!

Looking good, got to ask why are you not posting in the FJ45 section?
FJ45 Owners Club
Regardless were you post the information it nice to see it coming alive.

Whoops-didn't know I was in the wrong area-too late to change"categories"?

same mistake ive made with both of my 45 build threads... just means you gotta check more forums.

Oh well, right or wrong place-its good to have the forty back in the shed to get my hands on!
Small steps first from here as I still need to strip down the floor before putting the fuel tank and floor Matt back in the interior.
Tonight's mission-hanging the door hinges..
Anyone else had to do this after stripping them down to be sandblastered And have to"make" the door hinge gaskets?

I think you and @Vossie could ask the moderator to move your threads.

Good work Shagger! Your build is coming along nicely.

Good for you bro-good to see there are still a few of us that wear the pants!!! Nice rig BTW!

Ok Guys, So a little while since my last post-But abit has been done!
Once I got the floor pan done, I was able to re-install the long range fuel(110L) tank-and from there I could start bolting panels back on!
I have been trying to plan the re-assemble in as smooth of fashion as possible-so that I don't end up doing things twice, and its half working!
#Bestlaidplans!!
I have now reached a point where I have been hunting specific bolts-and have had no choice but to buy X USA(CCOT).
Knowing what I know now, I would have changed my early windscreen hinges, and bonnet hinges(They take the tapered style bolts-Discontinued and replaced by Toyota-Although the 2 different styles use the same part number-Go figure! To the later style flush bolt hinge style.
Oh well, So I have bolted the panels back on that I can, but now just have to wait to receive my parcel until I can fit the hood or windscreen surround.
In the meantime I have been tiding up some of the under bonnet wiring, and getting some of the windows and window seals ready to install.
I have been doing my best to "recondition" as many good condition factory seals as I can, as they add up to the build costs quickly!! And if they are still satisfactory-why throw them out? Some require some light sanding with 380grit sandpaper to smooth of some sun cracks etc, and others just need a good soak with silicone and a wipe with a rag. Most seem to be ok.
The misses is starting to come around, now that it's looking like a truck/useful thing again!

So some time has pasted, truth be told I'd rather work in the shed than sit on the computer/phone to update this, but can't stop now!
So..
As above I had done my best to recondition as many seals as I could, some worked well, some I wish I had just spent the $60 and replaced
Every other seal I need I went genuine, got to love Toyota still supporting its product 40+years later!!
Got all bolt on panels back on, and even snuck a wee local test drive
