Looks neat mate! Those steel roofs pop in and out in the wind just so you know! Ask me how I know!

Aren't those things pretty common and cheap as dirt over there in Australia?

O

Oh really, any way to fix it..?
Probably by not having one lol. Glass ones are thick and sturdy as s***. Depends on what you're after.

Well, yes and no.anything that's 30+years old is going to need some loving.
What do u mean?

An FJ45 like that here in the states would be $15,000-$20,000 USD ($19-26k AUS)

Would I ask for permission: no!
Did I ask for permission: no!
Did I ask for forgiveness: no!

She didn't like the first one, it took me away occasionally to do things like deer hunting, off road trips, joining a 4WD club and doing activities with them. Things she either didn't have any interest in or flat out hated. So after 8 years I sold it for more than I paid for it. 1980

Bought the second one two years ago and have endured hearing about how hard it is for her to get in to, how much she dislikes it and how I should sell it so we could go out to eat more often. No matter how much I try to explain that the 40 is an investment, so to speak, she just can't wrap her mind around that concept. I have no plans to sell the 40, unless someone offers a boat load of cash, and look forward to several years of fun.

The more time u spend working on the the more u grow to love aye!!

I try to keep her out of the 40 as much as I can. The complaining about how hard it is to get in and out of, 1 1/2" lift, how noisy it is and assorted other things is very hard to listen to. This is my escape and I am looking forward to many years with it, as many as I have left that is.

Managed to pull the fuel tank out,the car came with a long range tank fitted under both seats-bonus!
The cab must have been a wasp nest at some pojnt judging by the mess under the tank

Ok guys, latest update!
The old girl has been stripped down to her underpants:ban: and has been loaded up and dropped off to the panel beaters-the long awaited delivery!!!
Now I can finally get my garage back, and a quick chance to tidy up, and sweep away all the sanded off rust flakes etc!
Am I can also start to arrange my big pile of pre-painted "bolt off" parts:D
