How about a snow run now that we finally have some? Let's meet at City Market in Orchard Mesa next to Burger King. Let's meet at 9:00 and be rolling in 30/45 minutes. From there we have three options; Uncompahgre, Grand Mesa and Glade Park. Choice made by weather, snow cover or consensus. Please post if your coming.

Last I heard there was about 30" of powder up on the Mesa. That's probably too much without turning the day into a winch-fest. So looks like we will check out the Uncompahgre Divide Road.

Have fun. It was 86 degrees in San Diego (Ocean Beach) today and we're headed to Phoenix Friday before returning to GJ on Sunday.

Bill B is coming. I was worried no one was going to show and I won't go up there alone in winter. The snow has settled and compacted so it ought to be close to perfect conditions. Still hoping more will join us.

Had a nice relaxing run today. Went up Escalente Canyon, across Love Mesa, down the Divide Road then back out on 141. Drove 90 miles on dirt and snow. I doubted we'd see much snow but we actually found quite a lot. Max about 10" with a slippery base layer. My tires are getting worn so I was doing some serious "slip sliding away".
