Anyone running a snorkel filter? Is it really needed?
No. If you consistently drive in super dusty conditions I would possibly consider one, but you still have your normal air filter.

This is after a trip to the Sahara, driving trough very tough rain it never stops and drains correct but I would like to mount a filter or panty something.

I guess it depends. In my case Birds deiced to make a nest in my snorkel :) so a filter would have been a huge + lol. And ya they were small enough to fit into the grate that comes on them.
