Well we're all loaded up and moving our stuff back Abq! We close on our house in WV on Wednesday and we've got an apartment until Holly graduates in May. So after that we'll be back home!!!:bounce:

See you guys soon!

Yee haw! Welcome back, and congrats to the missus!

Excellent news! I could swear the 40 has a smile on its face (grill?) to be heading back to NM. In any case, I'm sure the owner is pleased. It's probably too late to get signed up, but Cruise Moab is April 28...

Maybe next year!

I wish!!! But I'll be back in WV by then, just drop'n our junk off in storage and the cruiser at the folks house.
But maybe if there is going to be a fall HDC trip to Moab.....:hmm:

I'd be surprised if there's NOT a fall HDC trip to Moab. I think we've gone the last three years, so this would be the 4th annual, if my memory's correct. We have been going over Columbus Day weekend, since some folks get the Monday off for the holiday. This year, Columbus Day falls on Monday, October 11th. We usually get up there the Thursday before, which would be October 7th. Put it on your calendar... :steer:

I'd agree with Evan's schedule - staying Thursday evening through Monday morning. We're about 90% sure of going.

I am guessing there will be, so maybe we should start a new thread on that, so everyone can plan ahead. Even though that is period of time where I have work to get done, I should be able to take off. I can plan some free time and some wheeling. I don't take much of my vacation time for work so this one means the most to me, because for the last two years this is where I have planned to go for my most time taken off. Now that it is really early, I can plan more. BTW, hope the move goes well, and welcome back. I guess you know you have friends here. That is always good to know. Look foward to meeting you when you get settled in.

Lol...if you have another slow day soon and your a Natalie Portman & SNL fan....YouTube "Natalie Portman rap" but make sure the volume is down or you got headphones there's a lot of $@!*;p

Just got back from replacing a rear Axel seal on the 4runner...after loading the trailer yesterday I notice the drum brake was driping gearlube. When I pulled the shaft I heard the housing depressurize and realized the breather was clogged with WV trail mud! Both rear breaks were lubed...could have been bad with the uhual trailer on back!

Be careful on the road and have a good trip! We'll see you soon.

Just got back in town!!! :bounce: First NM stop was at Tomasito's in Santa Fe for some green chillies & sopapillas hmmmmm;p

Not sure what my schedule is like yet but I might head to Rio Puerco at some point this weekend for a 4x4 fix.....

You had to go all the way to Santa Fe to get some sopapillas and green chile?

good to hear you had a safe trip! tranny held up ok on the runner? i'm just going to put another one in my 80 :meh: it's going south quickly.

Santa Fe was on the way home...we took I-70 most of the way back. Then in Kansas City headed southwest and went across the Oklahoma panhadle. We just didn't want to drive down I-40.

Yup the 4runner did great! I was pulling a 6'x12' uhaul trailer and it ran perfectly...some of those hills we were in 3rd gear @ 4500rpm going 50mhp:rolleyes:
Another tranny? Sounds expensive...I figured if I needed a new tranny I'd try level 10. I called the them not to long ago and talked to them about tweaking the torque converter and valve body for rock crawling.

i think we took the I40 route when we came down here... but we had never been that way before. took the N route going to VA from NV...

good to hear the runner was a champ! and yeah a new tranny would be way expensive, like 6k with TC from toy! i'm buying a used one (pulled from rig) for much less... we'll see if it holds up. if it doesn't i have one sitting in the garage to mess with ;)
