Hey guys I just talked to SSO and they told me their non-KDSS sliders will work just fine with my KDSS if I order and specify no middle leg on the driver’s side slider.
They said they’ll ship the extra leg separately but some guys report no need for it or resort to re-inforcing the driver’s side slider around the KDSS system.
These are weld on and can do that in my driveway and wouldnt have to pay anyone.

Looking at MetalTech sliders, same concept...but SSO mounting legs look a lot stronger. And I wouldn’t have to start drilling and riveting the frame.
Plus some people report poor fitment with OPOR sliders in that they’re shorter than they should be looking a little odd.
Anyone installed the wood grain warrior (SSO) sliders on their KDSS GX ?

If this is true then we can really order any sliders made for GX and just cut the middle mounting leg to accommodate for KDSS.

Only problem is they’re really backed up and it’ll take like 10 weeks. Probably more...

That looks really good! Do you have KDSS?
Any tips with the install? Did you weld them as far down on the frame as possible?
I do not have KDSS. Yes, we welded them down as far as possible. You pretty much have to. I have less than .25" between the legs and my pinch weld.

My one complaint would be that they do not stick out very far and even mounted down as low as possible on the frame, they are still tucked up enough that the step for the front doors is pretty much unusable unless you're barefoot. I think if I was to do it again, I would have welded a piece of steel to the bottom of the frame and then welded the slider to that piece of steel and the frame (creating an L wrapped around the frame) in order to get them even lower

Argh that’s not gonna work then.
My wife will need the step to get in, especially after the lift.

Yeah my wife is the only person who uses them as steps. To be fair, she still uses them to get in. She's just careful because you can basically only get your toes on the step and if they're wet, the powder coat gets slippery. Grip tape or a textured bed liner coating might help.

if you can weld, make your own! I just finished mine today. I don't have KDSS but, I am sure you could accommodate the KDSS in your design. My "step" got the wife's thumbs up :)

Unfortunately I don’t have the skill , the time or the tools like a pipe bender to make my own and I’m sure it’ll never look as good as these.
Might just get the OPOR ones as they seem to stick out more .
