I'm pretty stoked about this one. After 7 caterings and the gratuity accrued from them, I now have been able to get the Slee rear bumper with tire swing out. the last time I was at Uwharrie, I noticed a fairly large scrape on the tupperware bumper and I knew that if I decided to wheel a little harder, it would be ripped off. Plus, I would hate to have to get in the mud to get the tire from underneath the truck if needed and then to possibly find out that it had a tear or something. I though about just throwing the tire on the roof but I will have a cargo bag up there.
So, once it comes in, off to the paint shop it goes.

since when is s-c-r-a-p-e a bad word?

that happens as it has "RAPE" in the word so it is filtered out....but yours appears to be showing up. The very very PC crowd likes strict word enforcement...haha

Oh, and I want to be there when you try and lift your 94# tire up on your roof alone!!! :) :) :) Hell even if you could lift it...you cant reach your roof you hobbit!!! :)

I think I have more rock rash on my MetalTech rear bumper than I ever did on my stock bumper. Difference now is I don't really care when I run into rocks.

That's what I have been thinking will happen to me, Steve. I guess you become more brave. I wheeled my 100 lightly its first time out and I assessed my truck when I got home and saw where my back bumper got some surface damage. Nothing major but some rash. I knew then that I needed a bumper.

This summer when I was wheeling at Snowbird I was stuck (momentarily) and had someone watching my passenger rear corner as I backed into a hole. I asked if I looked OK and was told yes. Ends up "almost there" = "you've almost pushed the rock out of the ground" and not "you are almost to the rock." All I lost was a little powder.

surprised you did not install this thing when it arrived and paint it later to make the trip :) Just prime it to keep it from rusting and go for it...

It's at the paint & body shop right now. They are painting and installing it for me and it will be ready tomorrow.

New Slee bumper with tire swing out installed today. It's too pretty to scratch now.
