I just go off wheelin with a couple friends every once in a while, and I was just wonderin if I should get skid plates? I don't take it on rocks, and try to avoid the rocks for the most part, so just a little mud and dirt. It's a 77' Chevy 1/2 ton with a 4" lift and 35" Swampers so it's got decent clearance. Any thoughts?

Maybe you don't realize that you are asking this question in the Toyota Land Cruiser Association forum. Probably a better question in the 4x4 & Vehicle Tech section since that would be for non-Toyota's. but to answer your question, if you like to off road, skid plates are not a bad idea. They can only help you in that one instance you do get in the rocks. ;)
