i have the xm option in my fj and it is not activated. if anyone has the siruis option in their truck in a upcoming order and would like to trade please let me know.

I just ordered mine yesterday, also Black Cherry :-)

I inquired about the Sirius satellite radio, and it's not due to come out til this summer sometime. I will just wait for a phone call and have em install it when they get them.

I am just wondering what is the "Sirius" hold up? I was at Circuit City tonight and there seems to be plenty of em around. Not like there's a shortage or anything. Does anyone know which model it is they are offering in the truck???

It is an seperate tuner that uses your factory radio to control and display.

Does anyone know who made the deck for Toyota and if you can buy the Sirus setup through them? Or are you going to have to buy it through Toyota?

The deck was made by Fujitsu Ten which is the same company that makes eclipse. I happen to have the Eclipse Sirius Tuner and the Stock Radio pulled right now. I'll see if they connect and post back what I find.

No dice. The Eclipse Sirius unit connecting cable can be seen here:

SiriusConnect is coming out with more 'standard' boxes like that - I wouldn't be surprised if they come out with a Toyota-specific model sometime soon.
 
The radio that comes stock with the FJ is "XM RADIO" which is the competitor for SIRIUS......

Texas,

The stock radio comes XM or Sirius ready, meaning that either serivce can be added. The way they are added is by installing a tuner (similar to the one pictured above). The stock radio is neither "XM Radio" or "Sirius" until you spend the money to get the tuner added.
 
Funny I thought I saw "XM" on the stock unit. As long as I can get it when it comes in !!
