Awesome run! Evan & Joe (LC guys) along with Chuck & Kendall plus families in tow. We tagged along with mostly Jeeps, about 20 rigs total.

Another great learning/ wheeling experience with the Trail Crew guys.

Joe huggin' the ledge on one of the toughest challenges of the day. This was great!

Yes, I am standing on the side and Joe really is that far down!

Huggin that ledge!

Hugging the other side- basically a wall- so you don't fall into the gorge in the middle

Same climb- but blew 2 beads and got jammed up. We were really lucky- all were ahead of him so we could continue. Evan and Joe did their best to extracate the van.

both wheels on the drivers side- clean off

Evan was the hero of the day with a couple rescues in tough situations. Joe and Evan represented the Toyota crew well!

It was amazing out there- worth it just for the views

John's Taco almost made this climb. This was a harder line only a couple others attempted. He actually made it past the huge hole there but couldnt get any more traction. You needed front/rr lockers for these slippery conditions. It was an impressive attempt nonetheless.

That's awesome. I grew up in Crestline, and used to do those trails with my Dad on the back of his Dirt bike and in his FJ40. Way way back in the day. Like 1988. We used to go to Pilot Rock and ride up to Arrowhead via Deep Creek all the time as well.

Which way did you do the trail (where did you start)?

My grandmother has a cabin in Crestline. You just convinced me to head out there for a weekend.

fun shots. what happened to the van? did they make it to the top.?? wild. how good would a van be?

Nice pics Firstoy!
How'd your Runner perform? Looks like you're getting your rig prepped for CM05 ;)

Evan, emailing you pics in a min.

The van had lockers I think but it really got jammed there. No idea if they got it out. That gorge was intimidating.

I did pretty well and learned alot. w/ good spotting from the Trail Crew, I only needed a strap once. At that point even the poor-man's locker (momentum) just wouldn't do it, almost but no cigar. I had a few shots at it before Evan strapped me but otherwise I made it under my own power.

That gorge were the van was stuck- with skillfull spotting, I got thru it like cake. Evan had me put the slider against the ledge and just hug it up, what a blast! I never thought I could have done that.

Evan drove someone's Jeep thru it (the Jeep driver almost rolled, so I think he lost his nerve- heck I would have too. Seeing his Jeep teeter near the top of the climb...ouch) anyway, Evan finessed that Jeep right up it. Some deft wheel placement and he made it look easy.

I can't wheel with 80's anymore! Every time I see them I fall in love all over again!

Here are some more pictures of the recent run!
First Toy cruising through the difficult section of the trail - like a PRO!

Another set of pictures..................

Couple shots of Evan through the same spot with that "skinny Lexus"!

Nice pics First Toy. It does sound like you guys had a blast. For some reason, I see an 80 in your future-Sleed, Hanna'd, Locked. If you think you like 80s now, wait until Cruise Moab!

By the way-you sent me an extra "Pig" medallion-thanks!

AHH, sweet pics Joe!! Thanks!

We had breakfast in Valencia and started ... kind of near the 15? Well I guess Joe or Evan can give you details. It was my first time there.

Man I wish I had gotten out of bed last Sunday.... Pilot Rock and all around arrowhead can be fun. I was up there last summer and found some good ruts, with some fun off camber situations. I can only imagine how it was after all this rain. I'm sure these pic's don't do it justice.

Great write up and pic's, maybe I’ll catch some of ya at Pismo?

Nice pics. Passed you guys on my way up to go boarding at Mt. high. Hope you guys had as much fun as we did. ;-D
