I finished the lift in the other cruiser today, turned out nice... here are some pix....

Several things I now noticed, the 255/85/16 toyo's are over an inch taller than the 305 MTR's, the other thing is you can see the shocks in the front fenderwells on the 93 where the 97 has a inner fender flap that covers them... just for those that were wondering here is the difference between the 305's and 255's...

LOL! That's the first thing I noticed about the pics - you replaced the damn running boards! What - you didn't learn anything about sliders? Are we going to have to teach you again?

I do understand - kids, wife, girlfriend, etc. have a much easier time getting in and out with stock running boards.

Both trucks look GREAT Ray!

Looking good Ray. Does this mean that we will be seeing the 93 on the trail now? Are the 255/85's really good for 3 mpg as you mentioned on Smit's thread? I would expect an increase but not that much. If I knew that you needed some better third row seats I would have offered mine. They are collecting dust in my garage. Glad you got the wifes all back to good. Congrats on the lift.

As for the 3 mpg, thats what the difference was on a round trip to my mom and dads, 406 miles each way, the best we have ever done in the black one since the lift and tires is 11 mpg, but the gray one got 14 even including going over the grapvine at 4000rpm.. I wouldn't have thought it would be that much given the 97 and OBDII but that is what we measured.

Must be nice to have two in the family, I'm Jealous.

It is ;) . Now having two that are lifted....that is something that I can only dream about.....Ray having Hanna Sliders is only something that he can dream about:D (new running boards nonetheless).

Don't worry there is steel in the side yard to start the sliders.....now they wont be as nice as Kens but they will protect the precious running boards.. that need to stay for the reasons stated above....

Ray, does that mean you are going to build the sliders around the running boards to protect them or are you going to build slider steps to use as your wife and kids use the running boards?

what do you want to see ???,,, the last pix is of the tread...

If I get home early tomarrow I will take some more pix, they are a great tire so far, just remember they are a 10 ply truck tire and unloaded they ride a such...

Ome medium, with a spacer in front. with sliders and bumpers you probibly will want heavys or a slee 4" for the weight.. especially with packing up for the desert... the only reason I went with that was the $$$ didn't want to spend the extra grand for the 4"...right now... I plan on doing the 4" after the bumpers and sliders....

Yeah, already decided on heavy's. Prolly 2" heavys. Was playing around with j spring idea.. but i dont need it. This is going to be a expedition vehicle.. so i dont need 35's. Gonna run 33 x skinny. And it will be all function, no need to "look cool" with my monster 80.
