Shower panels/towers

Anyone have some real world experience with these shower panel systems? I've got one purchase left to make for our bathroom reno, and it's the plumbing fixture for the tub/shower.
I'm really leaning towards replacing the old '80s Moen typical tub spout/control/shower head with a modern "shower panel" like this one:

Some of these units from the big brands are stupid expensive, and when looking at them in detail there isn't really much to them.

no experience but often wondered how much pressure would be required to get a useful stream out of the unit if all heads were open at once?


(unrelated but recently installed a MAAX shower unit and found that contrary to instructions you cant just apply a 3/8" drill bit to place the mounting holes ... you have to start with a small drill bit and work up OR you risk a split in the hard finish)
