Ok all, I've got a lift kit coming and plans for sliders and all that fun stuff including electrical work such as dual battery and related that is over my head!. I live in the Dallas-Ft Worth area...any good and reputable shops you trust to have your 200's get some work done at?

Also, for things like a lift kit, is it best to have a Toyota Dealership handle that considering they "should" know it best (alignment, etc)?

I am in the DFW area, I do most of my own work but if I had to take it to a shop I would contact Tandem Offroad in Haltom City. They are the only guys I would let work on my rig other than myself. They do it all, including alignments and they are very good at doing them on lifted toyotas which is hard to find. I would personally stay away from the dealer except for warranty work.

I'll second Tandam Automotive, Baertrax in Dallas is also an option.
You should try the dual battery install yourself. It's not difficult.

Where is Duggy’s shop? He has a great rep and it might be worth getting all of it done there if the drive to get there isn’t too awful.

I'll have to check Tandem out as they are a stones throw away.... thanks!

Duggy's...is that the shop in Houston? Not terribly far but still a trek. All at once would be an option no doubt.

Duggy is in Houston, not too far.. Tandem or Baertrax should be fine. Stay FAR AWAY from any dealers save for MAYBE Toyota of Dallas which houses TRD Parts4U. Even then, I'd be suspect unless you're comfortable having a lube tech lift your $70k rig. Any dealer techs from DFW lurk here feel free to talk me out of this opinion but I've not been impressed ever.
