I am in need of a good shop for a BJ42, doing some custom electrical work.
The truck is 24v and has a self-installed 12v converter in the glove box, which is dead. However there are other electrical issues that either caused the converter to die or is not giving it power now. Example: turning on the headlights blows a set of fuses immediately, but the headlights will work (no other running lights, no turn signals and the glow plugs are dead). Turn off the lights and replace the fuse and everything works again until the lights are turned on
The goal is to replace all the 12v custom work with a professional wiring and add a new fuse block in the engine bay to accommodate the new wiring and existing 12v load. Verify the OEM wiring is working and reverse any custom wiring that might cause the issue.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a shop in Lubbock that will be good with this type of non-standard work?
Thank you.
