I was working on a few things on the FJ62 today and noticed what looked like one of the bolts on the fuel pressure regulator looks to have sheered off. Looks like the shaft is in the hole but the head is gone not holding down one side of the FPR. Looks like the regulator is newish so i assume someone replaced and over torqued it. I don't see any fuel leaking. Curious is this a new fuel rail to fix this or should i not worry. Kind of a weird issue.

I'd guess that the po tried to take the bolt off; it was frozen; and the head snapped off when he tried to remove it.

It happens.

You'll want to get that out. Heat then lube, then heat then lube, etc. Be patient. It might take a couple of days to get it ready to extract.

A left hand bit set ought to get it out. If it doesn't, then you'll need to drill it out and re-tap it.

I've been going through this repeatedly on a beater 80 that I'm restoring for my wife. It's a real pain in the rear, but take the time to get things right and you'll be happier (as will will you truck) later.
