OK my project 1982 FJ60 that has 191K on it and the engine out for a refresh and new clutch so not going anywhere in a hurry .....It has no seat brackets..I would like to swap the front seats out and just put a cover on the rear seat ...What seats are direct bolt ins in the FJ60

Direct bolt in?

The only direct bolt in replacement is another 60's seats, or a 62 odviously.

I put Honda Pilot seats in mine, and all it took was a day's worth of cutting and fitting with some perforated steel square tubing as a 'bracket'.

It's not that hard.

I bought some seats many years ago from a place called Land Cruiser Connection back in Viginia that were made as direct bolt in replacements for my 60 seats. I think they were just van replacemnet seats. Those are now my rear seats and I have some Recaro's up front Much happier...
