seatbelt pretensioner

My 99 4runner was in a severe frontal crash, airbags deployed, frame bent and a bunch of other stuff.
After reading the FSM I realize that the seatbelt pretensioners were also activated and the FSM says to replace them. I know I should follow the FSM but I suspect they will cost mega dollars. Has anyone else had this to happen? I wonder if they can be reset somehow?

I'd check the local junk yards for new seatbelts & retractors.

Seatbelts are not somewhere you want to be skimpy - either is brakes or tires - all of which can help avoid accidents or lessen injuries.

Are you trying to make it street legal again or will this be an off road only vehicle?

It will be dd/trail rig. I want it to be right, I just don't want to spend a fortune on it if I don't have to. I also have the air bags to deal with.
