I think this is still tech as it pertains to the front axle rebuild. I noticed Sears is having a pretty good tool sale this weekend. In particular, the external torx sockets needed to change the steering arm bolts are normally $39 for the set but are on sale for $19. They also have all their torque wrenches on sale - including the inch-pound wrench that I didn't have (until this morning
) for $59. I also noticed their 4-ton high-lift professional model floor jack is only $99 instead of $199 (be careful, they have several versions and the 'low profile' version that is certainly not needed for an 80 is on sale for $129).
They also have a new (I think) line of clothing that is coated with Teflon for "complete resistance to oil, grease, etc... stains" including carpenter denim jeans, regular denim jeans, and a variety of shop-type slacks. Also a full line of shirts with the Teflon coating. All are on sale this weekend. I've never owned anything like this, but I bought a set of pants and shirt for under $40 total. I figured it may be handy in the future (and would definately have helped on the front axle job). I just wore old pants and shirt and threw them in the trash when the job was done.
