Hi folks...
Well, I'm back....
This time I'm motivated to replace the toy battery that came with the 4Runner Trail Edition, the off road flagship put out by Toyota last year.
So after some "digging" I was able to find the replacment, kick ass single battery for the truck.. here's the link, but I think the sale is over today..
Sears: Online department store featuring appliances, tools, fitness equipment and more
It's showing as of this writing it's still on sale....
I odered the Platinum 31M online, paid for it, and went to local Sears store and picked it. Smooth...seamless.
I removed the OEM battery and tray (crap pc. of plastic, on their off road flagship..really Toyota?)
I cut a pc. of 1/8" aluminum the size of the Sears 31M and pre drilled for self tappers, and then installed the new tray. I covered it with a self stick rubber flashing to add a little cushion and reduce slippage (I should work for Toyota). I used the original cables....just flatened out the connectors a bit and they reach.
Nice thing about this battery is it has has a set of wing nut posts for adding goodies down the line.
Thanks Joneseyy for leading the way!!
