Just got a new computer w/ windows 8, and everytime I click to open a link the screen flashes white for a half a second. Not really a problem, but its annoying/ blinding. Any one else with the same problem?

nuts...now I need to buy something with Windows 8...Win7 and WinXP were bad enuf (and I know a couple people who have returned new computers because they hated Win8 so much...)

of course, now that I'm paying attention, EVERY screen change on my MacAir does the white screen for a split second...

Mine blinks long enough to make you want to look away everytime you click on something. It happens on pirate as well, I think they share the same template. This seems to happen if I start from my windows tiled page or the more traditional desktop. Sorry if that's vague, I'm not a computer guy, much better with a backhoe or chainsaw. Thanks for the reply.
both forums run "identical" software...doubt there is any cure 
(particularly since we are both on vB 3.8 and version 5.x is releasing in the next few months...)

Just went to your homepage, did you create i8mud? This place has been such a huge help to me I am indebted to you. I have a 94 xcab dd that I drive to Mt bachelor and a 81 that I beat on. Where in Wisco are you? I grew up in eastern Iowa " Maquoketa and went to unin. of Dubuque. Some cool country up there. I'm in bend Oregon now and their actually building some trails for 4x4s out here. Google/ youtube quackattack.
