Saturday, October 20th Weston Pass Run

Our October trail ride is coming up this Saturday Oct 20th out at Weston Pass.

Meeting Place: Alta Gas Station in Crystola at 8 am, leave by 8:30am
Secondary meeting place will be in Hartsel at gas station at junction HWY 9 and 24 at 9:30am.

Weston Pass, basically a dirt road across from near Fairplay, to Leadville (35 miles long). Great scenic views! Should be a fun easy trip. We plan on stopping at High Mountain Pies in Leadville for Pizza once done with the trail.

My buddy isn't going to make it, so looks like it will just be me.

We had a good outing, and the weather was fantastic--blue skies and sunny. Plus, we got to do some snow-wheeling! Snowline was around 9k, and the summit had some deep (12-14") drifts in the gutters. Todd pulled a Grand Cherokee out near the summit.
Five trucks in our group--Todd/LX450, Josh/Tacoma, Malcolm/FJ60, Tracy/FJ60, and Kyle/FJ40.
