Hello, I have a simple camper topper that looks like a slide in but is more of a truck shell topper made for Toyota Tacoma/Ranger/Dakota/Frontier with 6ft bed. by this company
Custom Camper Shells - https://belairshells.com/custom-camper-shells model C-6
less than 10 years old
I had it on my 1991 Toyota Pickup which fit no issues. but its made for the models listed above
its approx 500 lbs. insulated all around, recently sealed on the roof
you have to remove your tailgate for the camper to fit, look at the rear picture and see how the door/frame uses the tailgate area
here is the list of damages/wear
the doors in the back was backed in the bottom and it closes fine, I would fix that up somehow so wind or water does not leak into the bed. it uses wood framing with alu exterior framing so it wont be too difficult to fix that
the doors have two round thing on the top, its to protect the door from slamming out. one of it is missing metal prong
the interior wall shows some wear and youre able to see the insulation. those are thin wood panels, should be easy to find replacement and cut to fit
all bolts and screws are removable. no rivets so it should be easy to customize/work on
there are lights but I never use them. there are wiring harnesses you connect to your taillights/trailer lights connector
there is also homemade roof rack made up of wood rails and metal mounting points. the metal mounting mounts is very strong, I use shop roof chain winch set up connected to that to remove/install the camper on the truck.
its a great camper shell for those who do not want to pay ridiculous 10-20k prices of new camper toppers.
I am moving from this as I have another one
will use my shop roof winch to put on ur truck or trailer
happy to communicate with you on figuring if it will fit your truck
located in Santa Fe, NM 87505. $1,000
